Today was my first time with friends. I got the tres leches French toast. The bread the put it on makes it taste unique it a good way. The bread was thick and a great texture. Didn't need syrup really. My friend let me have a bite of hers. It was the tostada one. It was so good that I think I'm going to get it next time. The place is pretty! I couldn't stop starting at the map on the wall. Our server was really friendly and helpful!

I ordered three entrees this past Friday night (Chicken, Steak, and Ropa Vieja) to feed 3 adults, and all of them were excellent. The plantain sides, both the sweet plantains and "tostones," were fantastic as well. One of the best parts was the generous portion sizes. We had plenty of leftovers, and I even added an egg to one and enjoyed it for breakfast the next morning. If you're looking for a place that captures the full spectrum of Latin American flavors, La Guagua Latin Café is definitely worth a visit. I'm giving it 4 stars because they forgot the empanada I had ordered. By the time I realized it, I was already home and didn't want to drive back to Suisun for just one item. It's a bit disappointing, as I was really looking forward to trying it.

The empanadas are so delicious. You just wanna eat more of them. I've never had anything there that wasn't just totally delicious, including the wonderful cookies.

We were craving arepas and this was the closest to Napa. We went on a Sunday around 11am. It was empty and we were greeted right away. We had the beef arepas and the el pastor tacos. I have to say we were very impressed. The flavors were amazing and they were delicious. They sauces are perfect. I did not take pictures but we will be back for sure and I will update.

Found this gem on Yelp, decided to try it. It is located in a busy shopping center but there's plenty of parking. I had a Nica platter, the beef had a fantastic flavor juice and very tender. The pork was very good, came with tostones, maduros, ensalada, taquitos and of course gallo pinto. My mom had the bistecs encebollado her meat was very juice and tender with great flavor. We liked the tostones so much that we order a side of just tostones. My spouse had the Pollo Tropical which was flavorful and tender with an accompanying yellow rice which was excellent. The only downside was he wanted a half chicken but they only had a quarter left which shows its popularity. It worked out cause he added a picadillo empanada and he loved it. Also what was excellent was the four sauce options! We washed it down with Nicaraguan Tona beer which was nice and cold.

I had an amazing arepa. It had really tasty beef and plantains. It stayed really hot too. I also ordered the malt drink. Perfect pair. My kid loved the shredded chicken balls. Service was friendly and fast. Low key lunch spot.

Orale spreading the love like jam on bread. Brought my LIL Neph in after finishing up a job on Jun 6 probably around 4ish in the afternoon. Recommended he try the un cafecito and one of their dishes. He got the Churrasco dish and a Cafe de Leche. I had a Guava Con Queso y un Cortadito. The bread of the churrasco was well-baked, and the carne was cooked and seasoned perfectly. he got the side of fries(he loved the sauces that they give you Orange, yellow sauce are the must-tries) Cortadito is my go-to always now. next time ill be trying the beers that they have. The pastelito was warm(asked to be) flaky, crunchy, just perfect. So check 'em out next time you are around the Marina side.

La Guagua recently had a soft opening in Vacaville. I haven't made it in, yet. I forgot the original is in Suisun, and wanted to try them out. I was already in the shopping center around lunch time. I saw the brightly lit "La Guagua" sign and headed over before driving home. It was quiet with no customers (the lunch crowd came right after I placed my order!). It gave me time to browse the menu and place an order. My order= Cubano sandwich, fries (served w/ the sandwich), and a cortadito. I was familiar with a cortado...I guessed with my limited Spanish language skills that it was a smaller version of a cortado. When I read what it was on the menu, I was pretty close; it's espresso served with brown sugar and evaporated milk. Perfect! I wanted something small and hot to sip on the way home. I actually finished it right when my food was ready to go. It warmed me right up! The milk and the brown sugar add a little sweetness without taking over the flavor of the coffee! I loved it! The Cubano sandwich was made panini style. It was a lot of sandwich (which can be shared). I cut it in half when I got home, and saved it with half the serving of the french fries to eat later. It was flavorful. It had a nice sweetness to the savory meat, which I believe was from the mustard or maybe the pickle? Either way, I enjoyed every bite. It was still nice and toasty by the time I got home! The french fries were good! I actually didn't even need to dip 'em in ketchup!! They weren't salty, nor under/overcooked. They are the shoe string cut, thin and stringy. The woman who took my order was nice and brought my to go order to me when it was done. The decor of the restaurant was fun to look out: shelves with bagged coffee roasts a large picture map of South America, wine bottles hung on shelves, plants, a flat screen TV, and fun sayings in Spanish (hora feliz= happy hour/vivir. comer. amor= live, eat, love) I definitely would eat here again. Vacaville location here I come!! :)
